CaptainCon 2015 – just how big is our bigger boat?
In 2014, CaptainCon was a solid success with a ballroom full of gamers playing all weekend long. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. For 2015, we’ve added a few thousand additional square feet of gaming space – the entire second floor of the hotel convention space – for even more events.
For comparison, here’s last year’s floorplan:
And here’s the tentative floorplan for 2015:
As you can see, we’ve added at least a dozen more miniatures gaming tables to the main ballroom while simultaneously expanding the aisle space between rows and keeping the Games & Gears Hobby Zone. We’ve also added a second vendor room to give you more shopping options at the show (more on that in a future post) and added two more gaming rooms. Specifically, we’ve got a dedicated board game room and a dedicated role playing game room along with the Expeditions Demo Area in the central hallway.
So, now that we’ve got a bigger space, the challenge is to prove that we need to find even more space for next year.
Look for the Kickstarter to launch on March 31st to get your first shot at tickets, event registration, and some cool goodies.
