Be a CaptainCon Sponsor
A convention just wouldn't be a convention without great vendors and sponsors. We’re currently open to applications to be a sponsor of CaptainCon. We have sponsorships ranging from providing prize support to sponsoring major sections of the convention for that extra bit of visibility. 2-Step Process:
Becoming a sponsor at CaptainCon is a 2-step process. First, you’ll submit an application via our website which we’ll review. Once your application is approved, you’ll get an email telling you that you’ve been approved. From there, you can go back to the convention’s tabletop.events site to purchase vendor booth spaces, add-ons, or sponsorships. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder for our email and/or whitelist email from captainconinfo@gmail.com, captainconvendors@gmail.com or from the tabletop.info domain. We reserve the right to refuse any vendors or sponsors that don't fit with the spirit of the convention, are in violation of local laws, or who don't follow the convention policies. Booth fees and sponsorships are non-refundable after December 1, 2024.
Sponsor Options:
CaptainCon has been operating since our first convention in the summer of 2014 and we’re growing steadily every year with a tight-knit community of gamers from across the country. In February of 2023, we had 746 unique attendees and 2024 saw that grow to 943. Though primarily from New England and adjacent states, we had attendees from as far away as Texas and Canada. With an average year over year growth rate of 15%, we expect to host 1,050 people for 2025. All sponsors of CaptainCon receive the following benefits:
Your logo and link-back to your website on the CaptainCon.com website and the tabletop.events page for the convention from the time you confirm as a sponsor until May following the convention when we start signing up vendors and sponsors for the next year. Though, we do keep the previous year’s vendors and sponsors listed generally through August
A dedicated ‘spotlight’ post to our social media following on our Facebook, Instagram, and any other social media accounts. This post uses your logo or other supplied graphic and a link to your website as well as tagging your social media accounts. The post focuses on your involvement with CaptainCon.

CaptainCon has 6 types of standard sponsorships, so we’re sure we’ve got something that will be of interest. Major Sponsor ($600) - As a major sponsor of CaptainCon, you're an important part of helping us put on the show and will have central visibility. For your sponsorship you receive:
All the standard benefits of sponsorship listed above including logo and link listing on the CaptainCon website, social media “Sponsor Spotlight” post, and listing in print in the convention program
Your choice (first come, first served) of the convention section you would like to sponsor – Grand Ballroom Miniatures Hall, Demo Zone, Rotunda Board Game Hall, Newport and Wickford Role Playing Rooms, Plaza Ballroom Miniatures Hall, or Bristol Ballrooms Miniatures Hall.
Inclusion of any flyers or promotional materials (100 pieces minimum) you send us in the Captain swag bags and/or distribution of flyers you send us at the convention
Three 3-day badges to the show to use yourself or give to others
Full page (4” by 8”) black and white advertisement in the interior of the convention program
Placement of a banner you provide us prominently in the convention areas you are sponsoring
Your logo/artwork and text on pertinent table signs throughout the section you sponsor
Prominent listing (including logo/art and link back) on the CaptainCon web page
Full-color logo listing with the section sponsors in the convention program
Captain Bag Sponsor (90+ new unopened products for swag bags valued at $10 MSRP or more each) - Get visibility with gamers from across the country by putting your product directly in their hands at CaptainCon.
We're looking for sponsors to provide product for our VIP swag bags. If providing for the swag bags, we ask that you ship us 90 or more copies of a product to give away to attendees in the swag bag. This needs to be a tangible game item valued at $10 MSRP or greater such as a full game, expansion/add-on for a game, pack of miniatures, set of gaming accessories, etc. The sooner you ship the items to us before the show, the more time we'll have to hype it and give you exposure. In exchange for your generous support of the show, we will give you:

Additional mentions in our social media as we make posts about your contribution. The earlier you send us cool stuff to take photos of, the more we can do this before the show
Painting Contest Sponsor ($250 or new unopened product of $350MSRP or more) - Be a premier sponsor of the CaptainCon Painting Contest by helping us provide prize support to the winning contestants (1st, 2nd, and 3rd in 4 categories plus a Best in Show). We are taking only two painting contest sponsors. You’ll get great visibility both at the show and beyond. You can support in your choice of ways – providing us $250 in funding to purchase prize support and cover costs or by donating MSRP $350+ of new unopened product appropriate for prize support such as brush or airbrush sets, paint sets, or basing supplies. For your support you will receive:

Costume Contest Sponsor ($250 or new unopened product of $350MSRP or more) - Be a premier sponsor of either the CaptainCon Costume Contest by helping us provide prize support to the winning contestants (1st through 3rd place). You’ll get great visibility both at the show and beyond. We are taking only 2 costume contest sponsors. You can support in your choice of ways – providing us $250 in funding to purchase prize support and cover costs or by donating MSRP $350+ of new unopened product appropriate for prize support for the event such as costuming/cosplay supplies, makeup sets, cosplay weapons, etc. For your support you will receive:

Prize Pool Sponsor (New unopened product of $100 MSRP or more) - Help us put on the best possible CaptainCon by supporting our prize pool with MSRP $100 or more of your product. We will use the item(s) you provide for one or more of: the Captain’s Log convention-wide prize pool, the board game lending library, or the charity drawing prize pool. A cornerstone of CaptainCon is our Captain's Log system where attendees earn points toward prizes for participating in convention activities ranging from shopping at vendors and playing in tournaments to checking out games from our board game library or demoing new games in the Demo Zone. Providing items for the prize pool is a great way to get your game in front of lots of players all weekend and when they win it and take it back to their local game group. After selecting this sponsorship, we'll reach out to you to arrange for you to ship us your new, unopened games or gaming products. These items will go into the main prize pool for attendees to win. Play-to-Win Sponsor (One or more new unopened board games) - Help us put on the best possible CaptainCon by supporting our play-to-win board game library with one or more copies of your boardgame(s). A cornerstone of CaptainCon is our play-to-win board game selection. Providing titles for the play-to-win library is a great way to get your game in front of lots of players all weekend and when they win it and take it back to their local game group. After selecting this sponsorship, we'll reach out to you to arrange for you to ship us your new, unopened games to go into the play-to-win library for attendees to win.
